What is the Yours/Mine Secondhand Shopping Soiree (YMSSS)? YMSSS is a women’s secondhand and vintage clothing and accessory sip and shop that happens quarterly in the Washington DC area. Guests who attend this event are stylista’s on a budget who are looking to score a few great finds.

YMSSS was created by Patrice W., a DC native who had a vision for reshaping the idea of thrifting.

The premise behind the event is to let women know that the past stigmas behind thrifting is no more- thrifting is for the financially conscious woman who doesn’t believe that the amount of money she earns dictates her personal style. At this event, shoppers will have access to fashion consultants who will help them mix and match and teach them the rules of smart secondhand shopping. Style is a matter of creativity; not cost.
