Have you heard the latest news? Yours/Mine Secondhand Shopping Soiree (YMSSS) is now on Instagram and offering intersted viewers a chance to snag items before they are availble for purchase at the YMSSS events. This is a great chance for those out of towners to take advantage of awesome deals. While you won’t be able to sip on the events signature drink, Thrifty Girltini, you will be able to shop smart and fashionable. You can find a few items currently posted under our hashtag @SHOPYMSSS. How this works is you will provide your email address next to the items of interests and you will be invoiced. Upon payment, your item(s) will be shipped. Just that easy. Happy shopping and thank you for supporting YMSSS.

YMSSS Fashionably Transformed the NOMA Business District for a Day!

On May 4, 2013, several women joined us in the NOMA Business District to peruse a variety of pop up shops offering secondhand, vintage and retail women’s accessories and apparel.

Guests enjoyed shopping; complimentary cupcakes; mocktails and other bite size treats while networking with other stylists. In addition, YMSSS guests received style tips from the event fashion consultant, Miss Sassy! Below are a few photo highlights.

We did it! The spring 2013 Yours/Mine Secondhand Shopping Soiree was a hit! We moved out of our comfort zone this year and left our rented space in the U Street district in Washington, DC and decided to bring fashion and vintage flair to the NOMA district in Washington, DC – and it was a hit!

Remember this (see image).

We took a huge leap of faith and you all leaped with us – vendors, volunteers, staff and you! All of you followed our movement into ~~“the unknown”~~ a new venue and we made it happen.

Thank you for your ongoing support of this event and the concept behind it.
